Lesson Policy and Explanation: 1. Please give any time constraints you might have when you request to be scheduled for the lesson. 2. I will send out and email when I am making the schedule with a time and a question mark to see if the time works for you. If the time does not work please let me know and I will try to find a time that does work for you. At that point you are obligated to the lesson for that day. 3. If you need to cancel your lesson after you have been given a lesson time, you will be charged for the lesson unless you find someone else to take your lesson time. 4. Please come early enough that you can have your horse warmed up and ready to begin at the start of your lesson time. 5. If you are late to the lesson please understand your lesson will only take place in the original time the lesson was scheduled. It effects everyone after you when you don’t arrive on time. I wanted to explain why I have a lesson policy in place. Please understand that when you have scheduled a lesson you are filling a spot that someone else might have been able to take and you are factored into the amount of lessons required for me to be able to travel. I also take the time to make the schedule around everyone’s time requests. I always take into account the conditions (footing, weather, bad driving conditions, etc). If the conditions are unsafe I will cancel the lessons. If the conditions are uncomfortable, lessons will go as scheduled and I expect you will either come to the lesson, or find a replacement, but I still require you to pay for the time slot. The reason I have this policy is because I feel lesson are just like when you commit to go to an event or show. The event will go on in uncomfortable conditions and if you decide to scratch, your entry fee is not refundable. Events do their best to commit to the competitors to put on the show they have paid for. Events also put the time, effort and money into making it happen. I too have a commitment to my students and put in time and effort to make lessons happen and expect that my students will have an equal commitment and respect for my time and effort.
