Wizard
Wizard’s jockey club name is Chestnut Prize. He was born on March 19, 2008. He is by Prized out of Mary Ann and he is West Virginia bred. He last raced in 2012, but was a terrible racehorse earning only $1428 in six starts! Jill Henneberg got him from the track at Charlestown, W. Va. She started him in Florida and did quite a lot of schooling with him at Rocking Horse. I rode him a few times for her when I was teaching at Bit O’ Woods farm and truly loved his jump. Jill did one novice level event with him at Flora Lea Farm and I bought him soon after. Wizard has always been an amazing jumper. He has a great show jumping record because he is so careful. He is brave and clever cross country. Although he is not a flashy mover (yet) he is steadily improving in dressage. Wizard has been competing at the intermediate level for over a year. His 2017 goals include the CCI 2* at Jersey Fresh and a move up to advanced in the summer of 2017. |

Christopher
Chris’s jockey club name is Cast a Cold Eye. He was born March 23, 2007. He is by Teton Forest out of Share a Moment and is Florida bred. He last raced in 2013, and he earned $48k. Chris came up on a truck from Florida to Michigan. He was one of two horses bought by Pat Bunge. Chris was called Brownie the other horse Cupcake. A student of Pat’s, Maggie Hoffman, started riding him and competed him through the novice level. When Maggie came to Aiken to be a working student for Kelli Temple they decided he was not quite the right match for her and that’s when I was able to purchase him. He had done many novice level events with Maggie but my first event was training level at Plantation Field. He was not particularly good in the dressage there but when I took him out cross country I knew I had something special. He is not necessarily flashy in any one way but he has a great work ethic and a desire to find the jumps. I truly believe I will ride him at Rolex. Competition |

Herculon
Herc is by Fastness (who is an Irish stallion) out of Sister Lake. He is New Jersey bred and was born on April 16, 2007. He last raced in 2012 and earned 63k. Herc was gotten off the track by Erin Hurley who runs the South Jersey Thoroughbred Rescue. She rode him herself and sent him to Jennie Brannigan for further training. Jennie competed him trough training level. Jennie was based at True Prospect Farm with Phillip Dutton at the time and both of them tried to buy him from Erin. She wanted Herc for her daughter Paige to be able to event so turned them down. Paige successfully competed him at training level. I have taught both Erin and Paige on Herculon so I have known him for years. Erin only decided to sell Herc when Paige went to college. I recommended that a student of mine buy him but he decided to pass and I decided to buy him myself. I did two training level events with him and then moved up to preliminary. He jumped easily around a difficult course at Waredaca. I have done several prelims with him now. I also believe he will be ready to move up to intermediate this April. Our goal for Herc will also be a CCI2* this fall. |
